Grumble VA and Invega

Now that Invega is officially not on national VA formulary and many of us can't discuss it or promote it....why isn't Janssen removing it from our territory?
How come upper management doesn't have a plan to get it reviewed again? The pull through demand by the local reps didn't work but they keep it in our comped on universe. I think it is ridiculous we are penalized by keeping these large dollar volume accounts when we can't move any sales. Do we even have a government accounts team that focuses on the VA anymore?

Janssen is not interested in the VA, Kaiser or any institution that they have to give up dollars. They plan on milking Risperdal, Consta and Invega all the way to the end. When it's over it's over. Remember Janssen is a Limited Partnership. Limited!

The plan, as discussed in markeing round tabel. now, set up tracked backdoor methods like pushing at a local level P&T comm., Finding the right scumbag doctor to turn into speaker, a VA exec/dirctor/board member who will have his hands out or other lower level decision makers who need an ego rub. we will do this until they get the ball rolling back to the top of the VA's for a second look at Invega. not the method we like to use but it has worked in the past, we will did it again.

Hush Hush means push push, stupid.

they will mention not to detail in VA for fear of getting "kicked out" but will not take the product out of you bags, WHY? this is the same low ethical plan that has caused a number of situations we should all be a shamed of.

Janssen only cares about pushing this "wonderful" me 2 drug at cost of more than 100X to the VA over generic risperdal in less than one year from now.

this post is by a JNJ a family of companies "marketing person" and NOT proud of it.

PS i am writing this and hoping i will never be tracked, the kids gotta eat and wife needs to keep up with the Johnsons' next door.

The VA is doing the same thing J&J and every other pharma company is doing with their own insurance plans for employees - directing them to generics. Is there anyone in their right mind that would use Invega over generic risperdal? more data, more experience with risperdal - and it will cost pennies per day after the 6-month period with 1st generic availability.

The VA would not put Invega on formulary for a Penny a Pill, there is no difference between it and Risperdal, they will wait until later this year and get risperdal generically...

lets face it Janssen dropped the ball. They have their heads in the sand and depend on JNJ HCS to do the talks between the VA and Janssen. This is wrong because JNJ HCS changed reps for the VA 3 times in the last year. Everytime they replaced the rep with someone who was more clueless. God help us if this is the future of this company.
